Boba Cafe Simulator v1.036–1.038 Update
July 27, 2026 launch-week fixes — year-round oranges, stuck-item reset, pricing caps, and smoother sealing and co-op.
Caikemi shipped versions 1.036 through 1.038 on July 27, 2026, the same week Sales Champion winners were expected to be announced. This patch is a practical follow-up to launch and v1.035: it removes a seasonal orange bottleneck, adds a stuck-item reset, caps custom drink pricing, and cleans up cup placement, sealing, grinding, and multiplayer sync issues managers felt during the first busy weekend in Sugarville.
Read this page when your shop suddenly cannot seal cups, oranges vanish from Mr Wong in the wrong month, or a held milk bottle blocks your view. For the full version history, see Patch Notes and the Updates hub.
New features and adjustments
Year-round oranges
Oranges are now purchasable in every season. Before this patch, fresh orange tea and orange wedge prep could stall when the calendar moved away from orange season. You can now stock oranges year-round for fruit teas, juices, and any recipe that calls for orange wedges without waiting for a festival window.
Menu planners should revisit Seasonal Drinks — seasonal fruit descriptions now also tell you when other fruits leave the shop, so you can delist drinks before ingredients disappear instead of discovering stockouts mid-rush.
Esc item reset
A new item reset tool fixes cups, boxes, and props that clip through counters or stop responding. Press Esc to reset items that are stuck or behaving abnormally instead of reloading the entire day.
Use reset sparingly during service: it is a recovery button, not a substitute for proper layout. If the same station keeps trapping cups, revisit Best Cafe Layout and Item Alignment from v1.029.
Custom drink price cap
The phone Recipes app now enforces a maximum price limit on custom drinks. You can still tune prices inside the happiness band, but extreme markups that broke early economy experiments are clamped. Read Menu and Pricing for how to stay profitable inside the cap — margin comes from prep efficiency and popularity headroom, not from a single slider pegged to the ceiling.
Phone and controller bindings
Two control changes matter for daily play:
- A dedicated binding to close the phone was added. If you remapped keys earlier, open settings and confirm phone open (B) and phone close do not conflict.
- The default controller button for rejecting delivery orders was adjusted. Gamepad players should re-check delivery prompts after updating.

Presentation tweaks
Large milk bottles no longer sit in front of your face when carried — a small but meaningful fix during milk-heavy rushes. Coffee grinding received mechanical polish so bean prep feels more consistent cup to cup.
Bug fixes managers notice
Community and press summaries align with the official Steam note on several high-friction areas:
- Cup placement — fewer cups spawning in unusable positions on crowded counters
- Cup sealing machines — more reliable film application when the sealer queue is busy
- Topping container quantities — portion counts stay aligned with what the UI shows
- Customer navigation — NPC pathing reduces guests stuck between furniture
- Quest, multiplayer sync, and text display — fewer desynced orders and missing UI strings in co-op
- Control responsiveness — snappier interactions during label and finishing steps
If you still see liquid desync or museum credit issues, compare your build against Patch Notes v1.029 fixes — v1.036–1.038 stacks on top of that wave rather than replacing it.
How this patch fits launch week
| Build | Focus |
|---|---|
| v1.035 | Sales Champion event entry |
| v1.036–1.038 | Orange availability, Esc reset, price cap, sealing and co-op polish |
| v1.029 | Settlement clarity, Item Alignment, bulk menu controls |
| v1.026 | Mobile Payment Sign, lid rack, receipt reprint |
After updating, run one closed prep day before re-opening a large menu: cook pearls, grind coffee, buy oranges, test the sealer, and confirm delivery reject bindings if you use a controller.
